What an unforgettable week onboard the beautiful Anemone Turqouise exploring the northern Red Sea! We set off with calm seas and a group buzzing with excitement, ready to discover some of the region’s finest dive sites. Our journey started in the Straits of Tiran, where the reefs truly lived up to their reputation. Gordon, Thomas, Woodhouse, and Jackson all gave us spectacular visibility and schools of reef fish swirling around healthy coral gardens. Drift dives here kept everyone smiling, with a few encounters of turtles and the ever-curious Napoleon wrasse.
From there, we sailed towards Dahab, where the Blue Hole and Canyon dives offered something special. The dramatic topography and light beams piercing through the cavern systems made for some breathtaking underwater moments. Of course, no northern safari would be complete without visiting the iconic wrecks. The SS Thistlegorm once again stole the show, with its fascinating WWII cargo—motorbikes, trucks, and locomotives—all perfectly preserved in history. The Dunraven was another highlight, resting quietly upside down and covered in soft corals, while the Kingston brought us face-to-face with vibrant marine life making a home inside the metal skeleton.
Each evening ended with relaxed conversations under the stars, sharing stories, photos, and laughter. The Red Sea delivered everything we hoped for: reefs, wrecks, and memories we’ll carry long after stepping back on shore.
